Sadaqa Food Bank Facts

The mission of the Sadaqa food bank is to ease the struggle of all local impoverished families by providing supplemental Halal food packages once a month. In addition, we aim to educate to raise public awareness about the plight of hunger in our community and provide those who are blessed opportunities to share some wealth with those who are in need.
The Sadaqa food bank is a project of ICNA Relief Canada and is a halal food bank serving hundreds of families with a once a month food care package.
Package sizes are determined based on family size and consist of approximately 3-5 days of food to help ease the struggle of those in need.
The Sadaqa food bank is a registered charity through ICNA Relief Canada. This way, all monetary donations are accounted for by ICNA Relief Canada, then kept in a separate account to pay for the expenses of the Sadaqa Food bank. This also allows for tax receipts to be issued to donors at the end of the tax year in a responsible and accountable manner.
